What is the deal with scholarships if you defer for a year? I was told that you dont apply for them until next year but im a bit worried about this now so is this true?

Depends on the uni, so you're better off enquiring at the individual institutions you're applying for.

I think it depends on the scholarship.

One of my friends got a scientia scholarship to UNSW, and she was able to defer it for a year to travel.
