id say that would b gay.

our chic captain didnt even apply 4 a uai i dont think, our guy cap got in the 70's i think..... our vice boy got 96 our vice girl got 79 then the prefects got soooo mixed. some got 96,86, some didnt apply 4 them.... they were heaps spread out....

anyways i dont think that one is true at all.

i didnt see any forms that sed we could apply4 that.(i was prefect)

its bullshit. Our girl captain, boys vice (myself) and girl vice are all looking for 90+. our boy captain will probably get about 45 or 50 and the prefects spread out with top being maybe 93-95 and lowest definately being several asterixes.

my son is a great school captain - he constantly makes me proud
too bad the commitment required has blown any chance of him getting a UAI of 90+ out the window
he has had a huge number of brilliant life experiences in exchange though

i'm on of them and yes we do, but our captain has no chance of getting over 50. I'm confident of 90+ not to brag. That's the boys anyway. The girls are a lot more reserved they rarely go out.

No. School captains do not get extra UAI points, that's bullshit. But it does help if you are applying for some sort of scolarship.

the only time where being school captain gives you an advantage involving your tertiary education is when you apply for a scholarship and talk about what you've done. it shows leadership, pride, all that stuff

that being said, same with extra curricular stuff like debating, organising school events, representing the school, peer support etc.

ha we are in the process of selecting the new school captains, and my year is up for it. there are only 3 boys going for it, 2 of which would be hopeless and we have like 6 girls or something going for it, and they are going to be really good.

Captains getting extra points? Nah. They haven't told me. Unless it's a surprise. Or we're getting jipped, OH GOD! That'd be heaps good if it were true tho. Course from my perspective :p
