In the SC what topics are tested in the Science paper? I asked my teacher but he can't seem to give me a straight answer...

From the top of my head, I think they include:

- Electricity
- Plate tectonics
- Genetics and Reproduction
- Fossils and Evolution
- Chemistry from Year 9 and 10
- Motion
- Co-ordination systems - nervous and endocrine
- Environmental science/ ecology
- Big Bang Theory
- Skill works

Make sure you know how to design an experiment, in terms of making a hypothesis, method, conclusion, discussion (controlling variables, making a fair test) etc.

yeah that list seems pretty comprehensive. I can remember i g mark question on "If you were explaining dna to a group of Year 9 students, what would you say?"

But you also get random ones like "If a student was on fire in the lab, would you:
A) Pour water on them
B) Use a fire extinguisher
C) Use a fire blanket
D) Pour sand on them

I think the answer was c but im not too sure...lol

oh and know what each piece of equipment is!
Indeed it is C. I remember putting fire exstinguisher

Lol yeah, I did that past paper for Science. I think I put rolling them in a blanket and yeah that was right. I remember by friend circling the sand bit though xD

Explaining DNA to a year 9 student...? How do you do that?

Multiple Choice is easy. I got 48/50 when i did the past paper in class. The only thing you have to worry about is prob the short response ones. They can get quite annoying.

The good thing with Short Answer Questions though is that there can be a range of different answers and nothing to sway you off your real answer like in the MCs. I often find it hard to decide between one of the 2 possible correct answers in the MCs.
