You can try the geocentric model proposed by i think Aristotle. Believed that the Earth was in the centre of the solar system, but as you know today this is not the case.

Another good example is the evolving models of the atom.
democritus, dalton, thomson, rutherford scattering, bohr, schrodinger/heisenberg
