Hi,
I'm in year 11 starting the year 12 sdd course, i was just wondering if anyone knew any good sofware txt books/study guides/books with past papers....... or just had any comments on the ones they have/know about.

sam davis' book is pretty good. there is a teachers handbook that goes with it which is also useful, costs $90 though.

i've got the heinnenman one (is that how you spell it?), sam davis's one and the excel. i reckon sam's one is the best, covers about 95% of the stuff, the other 5 is covered in the excel and the heinnenman book. probably not worth buying them (i borrowed both texts from school and bought the excel) all. if you were going for one i would get the davis text, with maybe the excel as a backup. in particular though, different types of white-box testing is covered in the heinnenman one.

You people are idiots. You know very well schools are too cheap to buy good text books, so there's no point in cheering on Sam Davis if no one can afford his ludicrously overpriced books.

for sam davis' book, are there anywhere that you can get the answers other than the teachers handbook? because it seems a bit unfair having to buy another $90 book JUST to get the answers to the review questions.

SamD hangs around on this board...... he's mentioned a couple of times if you have some specific questions you need answers too, to let him know.

well technically it is...a teacher's handbook

here's how it works

your TEACHEr buys the handbook

teacher makes you do review exercises

teacher tries to get the class to read out their answers

teacher prick. teacher fail

teacher gives up and photocopies answers.

Hey Sam....
not related to SDD...

but what's with some of the vids on the HSC Assistant CD-ROM for IPT?
Some of them are such a laugh.... when I came across them I just had to turn the computer round in the middle of our study lesson to show ppls.....
actually one in particular.... haha.... the person next to me was wondering wtf i was looking at.... being a girls school... i was like wtf too.....

and that spice girls question......hehe
