try not to select subjects according to scaling. do what you like and what youre good at because chances are youll do better at those subjects. most of the people in my class did SDD because they like gaming and using the internet. as it turned out, it involved alot of non-gaming related work and 70% of the class dropped it. its a very theoretical course and involves abit of memorising terms. Its not a bad course, but it might take up alot of study time depending on your other subject choices.

SDD takes up about 0.01% of my study time. Basically everything is done in class. Compared to other courses, there isn't actually that much you have to do that you wont already know from year 11 or be able to intelligently bluff your way out of.
But its the most 'fun' of all my subjects...

My opinion is no, because it's so much rote learning.
On the other hand, if you do well at it it's good enough for a two unit subject.

If you enjoy it... Stick with it... Or if it's not your most hated subject or something :)

Sometimes I think it's a rediculous subject, but perhaps just because of my class and stuff.

I think if you have a good class and a good teacher, etc etc, then it could be really good to do :)

4u Maths and 4u English both scale quite well. But you'd have to have a lot of spare time and really like those subjects to do them.

Well don't choose subjects due to how much they scale, that will F*ck u up. Unless u know u will do really well in them. Because u can do SDD and General maths and other low scalers and u can still get in the 90's but u have to also be real good at the subz like u are atm for sdd. :D Choose subz u like and ones u will definetely love to study [dunno if thats possible] but yeah subz which u don't find boring. heeeheh d0n't base it on the scaling subz :D

Make sure you familarise yourself with Algorithims...

Currently it is my downfall, however I have 10 weeks to rectify this...

I plan to write many algorithims over the next 10 weeks

If you get it, then do it, if you don't and it requires more time than the rest of your subjects, forget it. But if you enjoy it, then do it, it's no fun doing a subject for like 2 years and not likeing it. Although the stats of the previous years might scare away the crappy ppl from doing it, so a larger %age get band6 this year :)
