answer was D) Pentecostal Groups.

I actually thought the MC was quite easy. The only one Im umming about is #8 (the one on Christians supporting conscription.)
It will be interesting to see what the Board reckons the answer is.....

These were my answers, dont know if they're right:
1. C
2. D

4. D
5. B
6. D
7. B
8. A
9. A
10. C
Correct me if you think any of these are wrong

Yeah!! That's the one I didn't know either. I put A for it (about supporting Britain) but now I reckon it's wrong. Quite a few people at my school put D... whatever that was.

It will be interesting as there was a similar question last year or the year before that created all sorts of uproar as the stated answer was technically wrong (and it wasnt even the least wrong in context of the other three answers)

hmmmm.... still dont know really what to put for that one. I agree about the general agreement but then again, it was about "country and empire".....

meh...who cares, i did my HSC years ago so why am I worried!
LOL

D - All Religious Leaders Supported Conscription (Have multiple choice questions here)
This is wrong because there was definite division as to whether conscription was right or wrong

8. Which of the following best explains why many Christians in Australia supported conscription during World War I?

a) To strengthen links with Britain
b) The majority of soldiers were Christians
c) To strengthen Christian unity in Australia
d) All relgious leaders supported conscription

okay..

a) I doubt strengthening links with Britain would make Christians support conscription.
b) If they majority of the soldiers were Christians, surely Christians would be against it? Who would want to send their fathers/brothers/husband/sig other away to war?
c) Supporting conscription brings Christian unity? so do church fetes...
d) If the CHURCH says its good...we shall support it too..

that was my reasoning
