sectors of the food industry (1 Viewer)

hey guys, im doing a ft assignment & im a bit confused!

we have to investigate one sector of the food industry & discuss 2 recent developments in that sector. i've chosen my developments, but im not sure what sector they'd belong to, or if they're even in the same sector!

the developments i want to do:
single serve foods
& Low GI foods.

I think they're both in food retail, but they could both easily relate to food processing & manufacture as well. what do you think?

I would relate those two recent developments to food manufacturing. For example, how certain food companies have created single serving products for convenience due to the busy lifestyles many people have today. Many have created low GI foods to reduce weight problems. Low GI foods make you feel "full" for longer and therefore may stop people from overeating. You might want to vheck on the web for some low GI products that are sold in Australia to give as an example.
