Just wondering if selective schools value their yr 10 applicants' NAPLAN results since I haven't done the yr 7 one and application close at June or July while NAPLAN yr9 results come out at mid August-september... Would I be disadvantaged?

Not entirely positive, but I think they will care much more about your test results / report card (also don't they have a test they give to applicants for the school upon entry?). This is because NAPLAN is such a standardised test, so they can better understand the states aggregate performance in fields like maths, english, comp, etc. So because NAPLAN really doesn't have that much to do with your syllabus outcomes, I doubt they'll care, or at the very least put you at a disadvantage

Thanks, I’m currently yr 8 and failed to get into the schools I applied for due to an average report, no NAPLAN and lack of experience. Next time I will be applying for yr 10 entry and I want to get in so bad since there aren’t much opportunities left, so I will apply for as much schools as possible which might include giving a shot at private schools scholarships, but preferably selective schools since it’s harder to get full scholarship than getting into selective schools right?

lol. there's basically no chance of getting a full scholarship at a 30k/yr school if u can't get into top selectives.

What school/s will you be trying out for?
For selective schools I might just go for low tier ones like Tech and preferably schools with test. For scholarship I have no expectations on making it but maybe I’ll give it a shot. I live in the inner west and I’m currently researching bout schools which offer scholarships for yr 10 entry

if you can get full scholarship at any 30k/yr school within the top 50, you can make james ruse in yr 11. not so much the other way around.
