I'm talking along the lines of Seneca's Thyestes, Ovid's Metamorphoses, Hyginus' Fabulae etc

For the footnote, use the oxford classical dictionary standard abbreviations and then give line numbers or whatever. e.g for dionysius' antiquitates romanae, footnote:

Dion. Hal. Ant. Rom. 1.87.4.

or whatever your line numbers are. abbreviations mostly available here. then in your bibliography you would do a full reference with author, title, translator, and publication details (year, publisher, city) for the edition you're using, in whatever order your referencing style uses.
