Be wary. It's listed in the rarebooks section. They might want to see your student card and you can only read it under their supervision apparently (at least in the Fisher rare books section that's the case, maybe someone knows more).

hmmm there's a number of other books in schaeffer and in also in Fisher that I wouldn't mind checking out either, so I'll probably go on my adventure anyway


And apparently I can get a library card as a student of UNSW, but:

* a $50 registration fee may be required from the universities highlighted with an asterisk


Fuck that.

The other day I went to use the library at UTS (do they only have one?) and you register as a Day Visitor, and they take your student card and give you a Day Pass that lets you access all library facilities but doesn't let you borrow the books. So you can photocopy whatever you need, all using your Day Pass. If however you want to borrow books then yep, you'll have to pay the 50 bucks. I'd assume this sort of set up applies to all universities, since it's actually set up by the universities themselves.

yeah, it's the art history and theory library in mills building.

no clue, i've never been clear on precisely how Harvard is set up. i just use whatever style i set up in endnote at the start of last year.

Okay, thanks anyhow. General question though, should I put a date for ancient sources? Date of the edition that I'm using? Date of ancient author? WHY DO THEY TELL US TO USE PRIMARY SOURCES AND THEN NOT TELL US HOW TO REF THEM DAMMIT.

I used MLA style Ruby.
Annnnd.. mine was a translated primary source, so you just put in the translated edition's year etc.


I have a massive fine on my library card.
reckon i can still borrow books?
