YES! You can't do the course properly without it...practical stuff is just going to be WASPs..you'll understand what I mean when the time is right...

Well i'm doing ACST101 too.. and the booklist said Mathematics of Finance (second edition), this thin silver book..

The enquiries person pointed to a package and this included this crimson book.. but I have nfi why I bought it as I dont think I'll be needing that book =S I have to double check if the 2nd book is needed =.= stupid me

ACST comes with 2 books, a grey and red one. red is useless but the grey is kinda useful. even without half the answers to the questions its pretty decent.

i may have acst books if your interested.

Word of warning...don't buy the STAT170 textbook. I GUARANTEE you won't use it. The lecture notes are really good and the textbook will only confuse you..

Glad to help.

Also you can d/l the Australian Guide to Legal Citation off the net and print it and bind it if you don't wanna buy it. Only difference is that the one you buy is a handier size...
