tute participation i can hack, but i agree group assessments:chainsaw: stupid thing making my HD into a D
i have a theory. everyone complains about group assignments. maybe a lot of the people who do complain are the kinds of people are the ones who don't pull their weight. i think every uni person has said 'OMG my group sucks so much! were going to fail'. somehow i think a large number of those people are the ones who are actually causing the group to perform worse.

p.s. i met brogan77 and hiphophooray123 today (i think their real names were Alan and Chris). they seemed like nice guys.

I also have ol Margarita again. She seems cool. She told us a real depressing story bout a kid whose mum hung herself.

And yes, Dr. Stevie does try to be funny an engaging (although I thought he was both). Loved the costume too.
omg yeah that poor kid! :( i was expecting the usual kind of bullying story and then she came out with that and we were all like

Ruby: World of Fantasy is an English course about fantasy books - so required readings are Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, no joke.

veridis - I know, but some people didnt like her for some reason. She's awesome though!

^Cosmic Doris^^ - see, you get what I mean about Dr Juan!

re: group assessments and tute participation - I hate, hate them both. EDUF2007, aside from being shit, has 60% group work. The rest of my subjects are pretty good, minimal participation or group work, and a couple don't even have that, thankfully!
oh my god.. that's fairly awesome. what are the prereqs? and is it at all useful (lolarts)

also.. i can't get away from bos even irl these days :(

Me too.

I have my first group assessments this semester. Really not looking forwards to that. :bomb:
Participation means I actually have to TALK. No way.

Re: OFFICIAL Semester 2, 2007 Thread

Yeah they did, but it wasn't intentional. Just didn't site my sources at all, I just wanted to get it in before the deadline and just rushed it, not bothering much with the references.
They gave me 30% for it, which I think means I still failed the course but am allowed to do history next year which is what I wanted. And it doesn't go on my transcript

Re: OFFICIAL Semester 2, 2007 Thread

Today was pretty cool. Good archaeology lecture (although basic: pretty much just rehashing ARPH1001 for people who didn't do it), reasonably good Aust history lecture and a really interesting ancient lecture. I'm thinking I might enjoy this semester.

Re: OFFICIAL Semester 2, 2007 Thread

new products marketing wasn't bad. the institute lecture room 1 is really strange. it's so massive, as it's built at a very low angle going up. so the room is like 1km long.

Re: OFFICIAL Semester 2, 2007 Thread

oh and I spoke to my services marketing lecturer, and turns out I got the only HD he gave out last semester. Apparently I beat the next person down by 3 marks. Yays.

*gloats* this brings my rankings tally to:

Three 1st places
Three 2nd places
One 3rd place

EDIT: for the subjects I know my ranking for, the full rankings are approx:

1st / 200 people
2nd/ 250 people
1st / 252 people
2nd /250 people
2nd/140 people
1st / 124 people
3rd / 422 people
27th /607people
