how do things work with conceded passes.. i.e. if iget 48 do i "automatically" get a conceded pass?

I don't think Usyd does conceded passes anymore, sorry.

Techincally they don't although last semester I got one where the lecturer just took my mark and changed it to 50-pass, hence giving me a conceded pass by default.

I've figured out why I'm sleeping so much lately--it's an escape from the stress (as well as tiredness no doubt). This OSCE exam is really shitting me...I got a main issue, but I don't know if it's the only one. They mark according to main issues, so if you get one and miss the other, you fail. I've been rationalising to myself that the others aren't as major. Sigh. I think I won't look at my results until after Xmas at this rate--got nothing to look forward to except Dispensing and that can wait...

haven't done it yet. i'm working through 2005 and 2006 at the moment (and the optics section for 2004, which comes with answers).

i think it would be best for me to just focus really hard on two out of the three topics (optics and solid state devices)...i went over EM anyway, but i only really know how to do about 1/3 of the questions on average in past papers so far.

what do the stars on the solid state lecture notes mean?

fuck yeah only have ibus2102 left. Suddenly life feels good again. Then again, i feel like i should be doing something rather than relaxing..

i know its a bit early but when do results come out?

You could maybe talk to the lecturer about looking at your assessment marks. Bring up that you thought you paper deserved more based on this and that...worth giving it a try.

That's a pretty fast initial release date. Results are to be mailed out 17th December. I think I'll just wait for the mail out.
