1. Assume that over several days of constant weather they cycle of temperatures each day is simple harmonic between 13 degrees at 4am and 23 degrees at 4pm. At what times of the day would the temperature be 18?

you have 18 degrees at the center of the motion since your extereme endpoints are 13 and 23.so 18 degrees is the center of the motion and t is between -4 and +4.so at t=0 you have 18 degrees then at t=8 seconds later you have 18 degrees then 8 seconds later you have 18 degrees and so on...
