Should I be doing 4U maths? (1 Viewer)

So I've currently got 14 units, including mx2 and probably dropping Chemistry , putting me down to 12 units. For the Prelims Yearlies I got 84%, which ranked me 10th in the grade (non-selective school). My first mx2 class this Thursday was pretty hardcore, and I struggled to keep up because we covered a lot of topics , and everyone else had already done the work at tutor, so it was basically revision for them - but it was the first time I was learning this topic (complex numbers). Should I get a 4U tutor, and just hardcore it? Or should I just drop 4U, to 11 units? My other subjects are:
Modern History
Economics
Legal studies
3U maths
Advanced english.

You should get tutoring for 4U maths
and from there ask your tutor to help you with concepts and such

to offset that, do some 4U study during the holidays, do topics like polynomials, conics, integration and volumes. Those there are pretty good topics to go through. Make sure you check through your timeline of the course that your teacher has given you to see what topics you are going to do in the upcoming assessment tasks

haha yeah I was planning to do that, but I don't know how to do a lot of the questions, and 4U tutors are so expensive ):

Also, zhiying has some good revision material, all except a bit of the stuff is wrong (simpsons rule is incorrect, should be 4 odd 2 even not the other way around, also I think his f(x) + g(x) graph is wrong).

Shhhhh...the curve sketching was the summary when I first learnt it lol, dunno if you can see from the scans but the paper is like yellow...

@OP: you should definitely do 4U, its a little daunting at first but if you have a logical mind most topics come easily to you, except some of the more rote learning stuff like ellipse. I seriously think they teach complex numbers first to scare off kids, because like 15 people dropped 4U after our complex assessment. I still don't understand the point of complex numbers, apart from deriving some useful trig equations. Anyhow 4U is a very interesting and fun subject if you like math, feel free to ask me for any help.

Btw complex numbers has its use for engineering, especially electrical engineering, as a lot of the stuff you learn there is highly based on the complex numbers related stuff you learn. Ie vectors in physics and 4U maths is also very useful in engineering

Cbb LOL, exam is tomorrow and when I make stuff for tutoring I'll do it on computers. I see how vectors and mechanics is useful in physics, but the whole concept of imaginary numbers is just a bit weird to me lols
