Hi Guys. Currently I am doing:
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Bio
  • 3U Maths
  • Mod history
  • Economics
  • Adv English
The problem is that I am absolutely hating physics. I really don't seem to understand whats happening in class at all. My teacher isn't very helpful either. She is more of a visual person. She just does different types of pracs to explain everything and I don't really get it.
I got really good mark for the rest of my subjects this term but I just barely scraped a pass in Physics.
I want to drop physics but I am afraid that it will drag my ATAR down especially since my principle told me that bio and history scale terribly.
What should I do? Drop it or stick with it until end of yr 11?

If you're crap at it, drop it. Physics (and chemistry) will be relatively practical. Scaling will only affect you positively if you do well in your subject. Plus, Chemistry and Economics scale well, and Modern History and Biology come after those three subjects. So don't worry about scaling, you can get 99.95 without Physics. I've seen it done without Physics or Economics.

Drop it. You have Chemistry and Economics which are high-scaling subs anyways... Mod History and Bio have actually decent scaling....

Your principal is a douchebag and shouldn't mislead students.

Considering you're doing 15 units at the moment, I would highly recommend dropping Physics.
