Is it worth making notes for legal and eco during these holfiays?, I wanna be as productive as possible so I can be ready for next term.

So is it worth making notes etc or instead jst using others notes and doing qs

I would do a bit of both. So while you make your own notes you should be referencing textbooks, other resources you might have and the notes of at least 2-3 past students who scored high marks in those subjects, so you ensure you have all the necessary detail and don't miss out on something one student might've forgot to include

Yeah I would make my own notes on any subject because you will understand the content better by spending time reading through what textbooks and other people have written in their notes, which would be really helpful to know that extra info in those subjects, since they like business studies have essays.

I made notes in these holidays last year for all subjects apart from English and maths, for all topics in each course. I did however come back and re-edit my notes extensively throughout the year to make sure when i learnt new information that my notes were improved.

For maths I essentially just used the Cambridge textbook and went through and completed as many questions as I could and ended up learning about half of the 3 unit maths course before the school holidays finished.

Just learnt the stuff myself by looking at other notes, videos on sites like YouTube and textbooks while making the notes

Ok cool, so i did pretty decent well not bad in term 1s for 3u and 2u maths, and was wondering if I should consolidate what ive already learnt properly or learn ahead and if so for learning ahead i can do cambridge but what source/s are most beneficial for consolidation of term 1 topics so i can be more than confident in these topics

I would do a bit of both. Go ahead as much as you can and to consolidate the prior topics go onto sites such as thsc online and go through the past papers and find some questions on the topics you completed before and have a go at them

making your own notes is great if you know the content well... and i mean WELL
if you have a minimal understanding of the content you're just wasting your time like I was for 2 subjects. If that's the case using someone else's good quality notes is advisable.

Just don't overwork, right now you have less than 50% understanding of all your content (since you've only completed term 1 HSC) and pushing yourself so much isn't worth it from my experience

Last 2 week holidays I made notes for the first module for bio and phys, and it was really helpful. This is because when going back to school it was basically just re-learning the notes I made and studies show learning something twice helps remember it. E.g. before the physics assessment we got bombarded with homework so there wasn't much time to study, but thanks to learning the content during the holidays, at school, and at tutoring, it was already remembered.

Recommendation (also what I'm doing): Write notes for whole course (like jazz519 said) using multiple high scoring notes and textbooks.

I did economics and making notes certainly helps. I strongly recommend you make notes based of text books and others notes and ensure that you shorten them as much as possible whilst keeping them detailed as possible, I know that sounds oxymoronic but you will understand what I mean once you start doing this for economics. I also recommend that you write your notes in chains of analysis i.e. Idea A -> B -> C -> D. This will ensure that you know complete economic processes and can easily intertwine as much detail as possible in your answers. Once your satisfied with the notes you have made I recommend doing a lot of MC and short answer practice as you need to get 60/60 in those sections if you want a high band 6. I would hold of doing essays until you have completed 2 topics as they often require integrated content from the entire or half of the syllabus.
