That song is such a ripoff of Olaf's Grundhunger blues by Voracity Patch. May I draw upon the fall V pavement analogy.
have you seen how q have been using pics of voracity patch and saying that its them?

:-( I can't go.... Well, actually I can, but I'm taking the "responsible" route and choosing to focus on my trials and study my butt off - damn all you lucky people that are finished with your trials by then, I'm only just starting!
But yes, I chose Interpol over Sigur Ros (and over Ryan A, Bloc Party etc)... They'd better be worth it! Haha, ya'll must post details about the concert and tell me how it was!
I'm banking on not having an exam the last day of my trials... If I do, then that really sucks.

i couldn't go kim
sorry

i had a similar dilemma with kim deal

oh well

if i was a chick i'd totally go thurston and lee (but not steve)
and also i'd go jim o rourke, because he's cool
Lucky for you jim is mostly gay, so you don't even have to be a chick to sexor him.

Sigur Ros Tomorrow!

Getting very, very excited. Anybody else around here going?

I remember thinking how long away it was going to be when I bought tickets...and associated this concert with the HSC. Now Sigur Ros are coming...means, unfortunately, the HSC is just around the coroner.

I'm freakin a little bit about getting myself there, as I'm driving and I'm taking the M5 tunnel for the first time in my driving 'career.' Eep.

Anybody know who is supporting? I heard something about their strings section playing, but on the program there's two slots for support.

I'm going, and yeah rather excited about it! Going by public transport lol, i'd rather the M5 tunnel than cityrail!!!

The support acts are:
7:30 iOTA-solo (what a crap choice as support)
8:30 Amina (from iceland and also make up the string section for Sigur Ros)
9:30 Sigur Ros
11:30 Curfew

only 20hrs or so to go!!!!

Omfg That Was Fucking Amazing
Im Not Sure If Swearing Is Allowed On This Forum But It Should Be Just To Describe That Show. My God!!!!

Er, so they don't allow all caps now? :(
Damn. Well. Now that I've calmed down a bit I'm editing this. But Christ that was great. I hadn't even heard the band before. I feel sorry for anyone that missed it.

Honestly. I thought my purpose in life was to go to Nine inch nails before. But now... well. "FUCK NIN".

I hope everyone else enjoyed it.

Word, that was an amazing concert. I was really impressed how every member of the band played at least three different instruments at different times to create all the different sounds and atmospheres. The light and projector show was pretty cool as well. Like, the blurry, monochrome, slow motion figures dancing in a field thing had the wanky artistic element but I still go into it. I loved it when the drummer went wild and they were shooting his silhouette all over the place. Also, jonsi's vocals were sounding great, really clear.

I better be off, it's my last trial exam today... but I had to go to that concert. Too many good things to describe but that was awesome.

Amazing concert. Fuck, it was really good!

Popplagid and Svefn-g-englar were brilliant, as was everything else. Popplagid especially, that last song just ended the night in a good way.

New songs sound promising.
