Just as 1 component of Extn 2 is called 'Harder Extn 1'

1 component of Extn 1 is called 'Harder 2u'

So the implication is that you need to know all of 2u

Do people know the process of calculating UAI's with regard to doing 11 units. I do ten 2 unit subjects plus extension maths. If I go well in extension maths will they average it with my 2U mark to bring it up? What's the deal with this?

They count your three unit mark and cuts your worst two unit subject (that's not English) in half.

You mean you have lessons with 2u people? How strange. We are put into classes according to how many units of maths we do, and each class just allocate time to 2u/3u or 3u/4u in the same proportions as the number of units of each.

And yes, you do have to know all of 2u for 3u and 4u. It builds on it, see :p
