Over the last few months i've seen a general increase in the number of spam messages on BOS - mostly ebay, and dating sites.
Can i suggest a minumum number of posts before a new user can start a new topic. I would suggest 5-10 posts to be made before you can start your own.
This stops people coming onto the site, asking one question then bailing without reading their replies (which ive seen may times), and obviously stops spam. I've seen this introduced on many forums with no negative consequences.
Please consider my idea
