i got a few scars from pimples im just going to get skin graft, they take skin from back of your ear and remap your face. or you can get laser treatment to even surface out. both cost $2k, im unsure of cheaper treatment sorry

unless the scarring is REALLY bad.. like burns or something - i wouldnt resort to surgery

most scars do fade over time, i used to have really bad scarring on my stomach and legs from when i had the chickenpox, i used to rub vitamin e on it - and its almost un-noticeable now (although i dont know how deep the scarring was)

To my knowledge, scarring never truly disappears... it can certainly fade over time, though (and appear to disappear). For now, I'd just put concealer over it, keep it moisturised, and let time take care of it :)

My one warning with surgery is that if your skin is prone to scarring badly (many asian skins are like this, for example) then surgery may actually make the problem worse.. :S

see a dermatologist - its what they do for a living

dermabrasion or something might help - its like a heavy duty scrub that takes a few layers of skin off and could help clear it up if its surface scarring

but see a dermo or a doctor, and dont try dermabrasion yourself - go to a professional

Vitamin E on scars.

I had a hectic scar on my knee and rubbed that shit on it and it disappeared basically.

i was like 'wow', so i started using it on my appendix scar, and now that is barely visible.

miracle worker.

as a chemist girl i would recommend vitamin e oil or vitamin e squeezed out of the capsules or bio-oil
i have some nasty scarring on my arms from a bad habit which is really really annoying and ugly and i tried both to no avail. however i got lazy and didn't do it for long so maybe if you're more persistant than me it might work ??

also if you're prone to more breakouts don't use dermabrasion. it will make you break out like there's no tomorrow

get a GP to refer u to a dermotologist..
a) cos its cheaper.. the govt doesnt fund if u goto a specialist without a referral
b) GPs shouldnt try to fix it.. especially in the face..

if u want to do the suggestions
try the stuff like on less noticable parts of the body that has similar scars.. cos u might get allergies.. or other unsightly reactions...

chances are.. ure ethnic.. and ure describing "keloid" scarring.. its due to difficult healing.. lik constant reinfections/inflammation..

there are a couple of options.. but i reckon just see the dermo for a consult =)

Bio-oil is really good, as is Vitamin E extracts. You can get them from pharamcies or Priceline. I dont have pimple scars but ive used them on every other scar and theyve worked great. Ive also heard cocoa butter helps. Or those stretch mark forumlas. Just when you apply anything, reallllly massage it into the scar about three times a day and you should be fine.

Two words: Ray Liotta.

Don't ever think you can't go places with truly tragic skin.

as everyone has said, vitamin e is supposed to be the best.

i think it's best for you to go to a dermo, or even your GP might be able to help.

it depends on the condition of your skin right now. if you still get break outs i think it's a good idea for you to see a GP/dermo because you don't want to make anything worse. by the sounds of it your skin is clear now, and if you're not prone to breakouts i would say to go with the vitamin e.
