This may be an extremely stupid question but....
Does anyone know how many of the poems in 'Immigrant Chronicle' we should refer to in our journey essay? All of them? or two/three in more detail? thanx :)

Paper 1 Section 2 question says(2006 HSC)

'In your answer, refer to your TWO prescribed texts and ONE text from the prescribed stimulus booklet, Journeys. You may refer to other related texts of your own choosing. '

I think you only need to talk about one of the poems in the actual exam.
But my teacher said I should know three poems in detail.
So I believe you memorise three poems in detail and choose the best poem that best answers the exam question.

This instruction is from the 2006 paper but it made me confused because it says
'you may refer to other related texts of your own choosing.'

In all other past papers it clearly says
'refer to at least one related text of your own choosing'

Is it neccessary to memorise the related texts of own choosing?

you only need to know one related text briefly.
