Anyone else do it here? Post your favourite artists/songs/albums/genres etc. to fall asleep to

My favourite albums to sleep to are:

Jan Jelinek - Kosmischer Pitch
Slowdive - Pygmalion
Leonard Cohen - Songs from a Room
Tangerine Dream - Zeit
Slint - Spiderland
Bark Psychosis - Hex
AMM - AMMMusic

Most ambient/minimalist/modern classical music does it for me.

Favourite song to sleep to is Shelter from the Storm by Bob Dylan

I put music on during the night but it's barely audible most of the time. It's just a preventative measure because I remember a time long ago when crickets kept me up all night and gave me the shits so I almost always have music on now.

Favourites are:

Muse
The Butterfly Effect
The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King

I don't normally do this (especially now that my iPod's broken :( ) but some albums are really suited to listening in the dark. I really like these ones...

Mum - Finally We Are No One
Boris with Michio Kurihara - Rainbow
Shpongle - Are You Shpongled?
Coil - The Ape of Naples
Nick Drake - Pink Moon
Talk Talk - Laughing Stock

stars of the lid's the tired sounds of..., on the other hand, always massages my mind as i doze off.

I occasionally listen to ambient/chillout/relaxing stuff when going to sleep. Stuff like Triosk, Boards of Canada, Bonobo, The Cinematic Orchestra etc.

Yeah, I often put my top 100 most played on shuffle to fall asleep, that way I don't get any dodgy songs that I might have.
Radiohead, Muse and Lou Reed are good to listen to when falling asleep.
