thanks for the heads up man
you've really hit the spot in terms of an argument... which was what, exactly?

health policy is an integral part of the curriculum in any case

heh ;)
What I am trying to say is that we need robots with an empathy chip to run the show, human beings are inadequate.

Australia is supposed to be one of the best in healthcare, we have something called medicare which takes a 10 percent levy which we pay for in tax.
Ha!
I don't suppose you've actually lived in Scandinavia, have you? (Well, nor have I.)
It's a service they we are paying good money for and one which we're not reaping the benefits.
It's late, I'm sober and non-medicated (not to imply that I'm ever drunk and medicated), and I can't make much sense of what you're saying.
For every bad case I mentioned there are 10 others that we have not heard of. If it is happening in this great country of ours then imagine how bad it is in other parts of the world.
Yeeeahhh... k.
America does not even have medicare.
... um, so?

NON SEQUITUR, WouldbeDoctor.

(Not to call you on something, but) Know your shit; America actually does have medicare, but only select people get it - the elderly, or the special. What you're looking for is national medicare - or health insurance.

The biggest fucking problem with America is that insurance (from a user-end, fiduciary interest-side of things) is so goddamned retarded it's not funny. I believe that Midwestern ass Michael Moore has bitched about it, and obviously he's infallible.
People don't seem to understand what they are in for when they enter ANY health related job. If I have to draw a pretty crayon picture for Lucid I would be happy to do so, since art seems to be your area of expertise.
Uh... no.

And the fuck are you on about, and how about addressing me with 'you' (rather than 'Lucid'), seeing as you've said 'since art seems to be your area of expertise'?
ohhhh yes you can:
Programs for registered nurses

Our suite of postgraduate specialty and advanced practice coursework programs is available to registered nurses who want to take a lead in their chosen specialty area. Available specialties include: anaesthetics; critical care; emergency; perioperative, rural critical care; paediatric critical care; cancer and palliative care; mental health; paediatrics; and primary care.
Because of the articulated structure of our specialty and advanced practice programs, you can enrol in the Master of Advanced Nursing Practice in your chosen specialty, or you can enrol in the certificate or diploma first and then complete additional studies to gain the 200 credit points required for your masters degree.
Oooh, k.

What did I say? I said, you can't specialize as doctors can; try tearing me a new one with that!

I think I should blame myself for any misrepresentation, rather than blame you for misconstruing me.

Like yeah, like, sorry I'm, like, rebarbative and argumentative.
Like, it's the leggg, the cane, the 'fuck you, my legal proxy', etc. thing.

You're being rather immature, ignorant, prudish, etc.

To bluntly put it, it's part of the job description; deal with it, or don't be there.
(And perhaps, don't be such a goddamned pussy.)

If you can't handle people, or the work, don't be a clinician/internalist; if you can't handle blood, have an unsteady hand, etc., don't be a surgeon; if that's neither of those are your thing or, simply put, you suck at them, become a diagnostic specialist (pathologist, hematologist, radiologist, clinical microbiologist, clinical neurophysiologist, etc.).
Hahaha have you even had any experience in a hospital? You didn't even know that nurses specialise into areas like icu.

Yes it is part of the job description of being a doctor but it brings med students back to reality that med isn't as glamorous after all. Who really wants meconium dropping on them?

Yes i've been to sweden, the women their are nice and loose, if you want to discuss that aspect PM me for more details and pics ;)

Maybe you're tired and should get to sleep instead of looking at a blurry monitor and not understanding where people are coming from.

Speaking of drugs and alcohol they're a pleasant mix for you to take in one hit, I suggest you try it out for once before you get too boring.

NON SEQUITUR, WouldbeDoctor.
Yes , it does not seem to fit but I was merely comparing one health system that is poor to another that is even worse off, America came to mind.

I'm so sorry you, It won't happen you deserve to be addressed with out saying your name since to mention it would tear the word.

Someone thinks they are Dr. House or something, he is a fictional character from a repetitive T.V show get over it and shove that cane up your arse.

I'll take it to be the borderline personality disorder.*
You didn't even know that nurses specialise into areas like icu.
... actually, I didn't. And thanks for that.

And your point is? Oh, wow, ad hominem, ad hominem, etc.

I've done work experience and volunteered at a hospital, sort of doing 'rotations' at wherever being a high-schooler can get you, (mainly hanging around rheumatology and resp., non-staff-access psych.), but personally, no experience.
I know nurses will become specialized to suit the wards they work in, but understand what I meant was that nurses cannot all of a sudden become medical professionals in the very same way (resident) doctors can.

You know what's so glamorous about med?

It's not that glamorous. :)

K, tnx for that.

Write what you're thinking, not what you think you're thinking.

No.
What next; speedballing?

I'm too young to die; I don't want to die.
Yes , it does not seem to fit but I was merely comparing one health system that is poor to another that is even worse off, America came to mind.
America's worse, and really, anyone who's surprised should get a reality check.

Check WHO.
I'm so sorry you, It won't happen you deserve to be addressed with out saying your name since to mention it would tear the word.
K.

Don't be a (trolling) pedant.
Someone thinks they are Dr. House or something, he is a fictional character from a repetitive T.V show get over it and shove that cane up your arse.
Haha.
I wasn't joking about the leg, but it's not as bad; no cane; it's fine; etc. (Admittedly, a bad, bad reference.) Take that advice, as there isn't a soul here who thinks they are Greg House or something, and shove it up your arse.

Besides, it's like, Dougie Howser, MD; Scrubs; ER; etc. > House.

Douchebag.

Oh, wow, ad hominem, ad hominem, etc.
.

Speaking of ad hominem, why should we give someone who consults their other personality any credit.

Have you lived in Sweden?.
.

Have you walked on the moon? For all you know it could be a piece of cheese. That seems to be your arguement for everything.

I wasn't joking about the leg, but it's not as bad; no cane; it's fine; etc. .
.

So sorry about the leg, maybe you should go to your local G.P which our tax pays for and get some prescription pain killers. I will be paying for it with 10 percent of my money that I give though tax. But it would be worth it to stop the tears.

Douchebag.
Touching, ;)

K.

Pedantry: other personality implies only one other. Borderline personality disorder doesn't in the least mean you have an alter-ego or whatnot. DSM, DSM (the tome)!
Have you walked on the moon?
When I have the money, time, willpower and desire, sure, why not?
For all you know it could be a piece of cheese.
Science says no.
That seems to be your arguement for everything.
Fallacies, ah!

Good, good.

1. Don't take drugs unless absolutely necessary.
2. Parental units/guardians are against my hypothetical seeing a GP; why bother?
3. And no, you're not sorry, so shut up, please; I'm not seeking sympathy, much less yours.
(4. What I call, no thanks, "HAPPY CIRRHOSIS AND CHRONIC LIVER FAILURE!"; or my stern rejection of self-injury in this manner.)
Touching,
Quite so.

My apologies in my forwardness, and in general; I refuse to further any nonsense posted herein on my part (oh what, that's everything!).

Oh the puerilism. :(

Oh... I should tell you, I'm neither registered with the AMA, or anything; and I'm not going to be a doc particularly soon.

Boo?! :(

Re: Bold bit: LOL YEAH. It's not really a debate.
I'm no master debater. (Oh my immaturity is showing, isn't it? :p)

K, 'night duders and such; I'm taking WouldbeDoctor's advice, 'cuz he's a would-be doctor, after all.

i think me and only one other member would be the only 2 up for limited registration with the medical board... by the end of the year

the AMA is just our professional association..
the board is for registration
the salaried medical officers union is our union..

btw ur arguments are less annoying to read... :) and are much more coherent

Excellent don't forget about my treatment: Drink some alcohol and a sedative, it will help you sleep better.

Sorry about my incoherency I am not a great academic like you point-dickster. You should also take my treatment.

Now you're getting defensive, brother. It's between you and I - not you, I, and passerbys (it is a public thread, and I have no more right than anyone else; and so, 'passerby' = anyone else); ergo, I think it's negligent and careless of both/either of us to have this continue - it's run its course.

Alcohol and sedatives actually won't kill me, and you'll make for a horrible doctor. It's totally irrelevant to this thread, but I don't drink - by principle and due to legal ramifications - and when and if I do, I do only drink something that's good (I don't get drunk on alcohol, but I do get drunk on water, fruit juice, and the oddest of things); funnily enough, drugs don't work for me, and OD'ing is not going to happen.

If you want to tell me how to kill myself, etc., do it well, nub. :)

P.S. I don't know if you know this, but; you'd be, in part, accountable. :teach:
*Unsurprised, but fazed, at how fucked up 'justice' and legal liability really are.*

The knife down the street, rather than across it, thing's coming back; try that with the next newbie you engage with.

ETA:

All of that was far tl;dr

I saw WouldbeDoctors rant about the state of the health care system, but tbh I get annoyed at people who don't even work for NSW Health but think reading news articles makes them qualified to discuss the state of our hospitals.

You don't know what it's like to run out of needles to give to intravenous drug users, YOU JUST DON'T KNOW !:(

Collateral damage is unavoidable.

Tell that to Mr ledger. Besides that I don't want you to kill yourself, I want you to suffer which you are anyway with your limp leg.

I do agree it is pointless talking to a self serving bigot like yourself. So I will end this now by walking away...... that's right.

walking away.

You don't know a thing about me; I could be feeding you shit about shit, so don't make this personal.
I don't have a 'limp' leg.

Suffer =/= pain =/= nociception. I don't suffer in any way whatsoever. :)

money? MONEY?!
But what could be more rewarding than the look on a child's face when you tell him that he doesn't have aids? Or the hug from a grandma who thinks she's got many years to live? You people are heartless...

Oh, and has anyone taken into account the tips that come with the medical-business?
I heard that there's wicked cash to be made through making just a few flippant remarks, like "and what if I were to botch this surgery..." or "how much do you really want this cancer removed?"
