our teacher has been teaching hsc for 28 years and he said that was one of the harder ones

for example
in the 02, i got 76 / 84
for the 03, i got 83/84
for 04', i got about 74 / 84

LOL. You should see the variance in my marks
2002 (practice): 82/84
2003 (practice): 70/84
2004 (estimate): 71/84

Is your teacher one of those pretty oldish people, coz I seem to trust them the most. The committee that aligns the marks is probably filled with people aged 55+, so I think teachers who are in that age range will give the best band cut-off estimates.

But I hope you're right about this one being one of the harder exams. The strange thing about this exam is that you either found it hard or you found it easy, depending on whether you do Ext 2 or not, but there'd be little in between - no "it was fair" or "it was average", just "I killed it" or "F**k".

Are you being serious or sarcastic? Coz it seemed like you killed the 2U exam (from the 2U post), so I find it unlikely that you would've found the Ext 1 exam overly hard.

No.... schools accelerate 2u because it gives the students valuable experience and helps lessen the stress in year 12. That's what I've found anyway.

prob between 55-65. I only missed out on about 12 marks, but made soooo! many careless mistakes.

I screwed up this exam, bad.

Went into the exam room with a runny nose. Slowed me down and hampered my concentration.

I estimated my max percentage would be 60%, that's assuming I get everything else correct.
