is anyone able to access the assignment? This is the message I get when I try to login:

Nope, I can't login either. I tried logging into myuni and then go from mylearning page, but that says "You entered an incorrect username or password." and I'm sure I didn't because I logged into myuni with the same password! I think I'll email (webct.helpdesk@mpg.usyd.edu.au) to ask in a bit - will wait for someone else to post saying they can't login either, just to make sure.

EDIT: Did you try Blackboard yet 04er? The password was sent through your uni email.

I've already started using the Law library at the CBD campus, but I couldn't borrow any books because the woman there said my student number hasn't been entered into their data base yet...

Does anyone know how many hours per week first semester will be for Commerce/Law? I checked out the timetables and according to my calculations it should only be 11 hrs... but that sounds way off... anyone?

Apparently for comm/law it's a bit more than 11hrs...heard thru the grapevine, maybe about 13 or so??

But don't trust me... i'm an arts/law kinda girl... (usyd)

ACCT1001 - 3 HPW
ACCT1002 - 3 HPW
INFS1000 - Not specified in handbook
ECMT1010 - Not specified in handbook
ECON1001 - 3 HPW (assuming that lectures and tutorials are 1hr each)
ECON1002 - 3 HPW (again assuming the above)

LAWS1006 - 3 HPW
LAW1010 - 2 HPW
LAWS1008 - 2 HPW

Assuming any possible allowable combination of these courses: 12 HPW in one semester and 13 HPW in the other.

Check the handbooks and look for how many lectures, tutes etc each of your units have and then add them up

Hey there,

Its probably not that webct isn't working, they just don't normally set up the units of study until about a week before uni starts. (I've even had subjects where the webct site wasn't set up until a few weeks into semester). I just logged in and I only have my old units of study from last year (oh, the memories).

It kinda sucks for first year grad law, we start two weeks before normal semester (ie the week before o-week), so I don't know what happens there. Timetables are normally released in o-week, so we won't officially get our timetable until a week and a half after we start classes ! eh ?

LOL it was on one of the pieces of paper they gave us at enrollment! I just thought it would be interesting to read up on it to see if I could do it by myself yet. They obviously wanted us to know what it was about and get ready for it.

I've managed to lose that piece of paper. And I only had a chance to glance at it briefly - caught something about reading materials and that was it. Ah, habitual ineptness surely can't be kicking in already!
