hehe u cant be overqualified man..i got my job at maccas after a 2min interview. the guy looked at my resume, and shook my hand. to the managers, im known as the "smart guy".AsyLum said:haha yeah i know, either im too old, or over qualified
dw about getting job man. i applied for heaps after my hsc and u get rejections after rejections. but once u load up on extra curricular stuff outside ur academics, and know how to talk during an interview den ur set. juz to add credibility to that, so u dun fink its coming form sum1 whose juz working at maccas. i tutor on weekends and i scored an actuarial vacation job this summer....doing actuarial modelling (sounds good aye...flashes business card around..im an actuarial model)

one is doing his masters in accounting/finance maths(he left a few wks ago)
one is doing a master in accounting or something
one is third yr in some finance course in MQ
and 2 doing also some finance course as 2nd yr
one is doing journalism
and like..i'm doing IT..lol
so there is no such thing as over qualification, only under qualification

one main factor is that its closing to christmas and alot of kids applied for it too..
now think about it, would they hire a kid getting paid around 6bucks an hr, or hire you when they have o pay u around 12bucks an hr?
maybe u should apply around jan. - march period
for sure, remember we are old now.
what have your interviews been like? i got to the point of memorising answers to common questions, it works, makes the interviews go a bit more smoothly. act chatty. the focus is on customer service, team work and committment.
anyway i know what it's like, it gets to the point where you can't be bothered to look anymore.

ever noticed these google ads relate to the threads?? this one atm is on interview techniques and jobs, the one where the dude is asking about 4u maths has maths ads at the bottom. i've seen it beforeGrizzly said:*SMS "Mala" if you want to see him be the next Macquarie idol !!!*
