I did. And so did a few others from my school.

I'm hoping to end up majoring in Physiology and then either go on to do Honours/PhD/start lecturing, or else I might consider going into post graduate Medicine. I don't really want to spend too much time doing Research though.

Is anyone else finding it insanely difficult to understand how the whole putting together units of study process goes? Can we pretty much just do any units we want in first year dependant on what majors we want to get into?

You need to know what majors you want to do. So if you are interested in doing physiology, a combination of units may include two maths subjects, chemistry, biology, and another subject of your choice. In second semester, you can do two maths subjects, chemistry, biology, and molecular biology and genetics. It is only compulsory to do two maths subjects each semester (ie. 12 credit points worth).

i spose its a bit late considering enrollment was today, but the best place to look is the science handbook. I went and bought it on Monday (only because the online version is crap to have to scroll through) lol

Or you can just be on very good terms with the associate deans and get them to sign you off for special consideration every time.

I got in as well. I also received a letter today offering a position in the 'Talented Students Program', which I'll definately be accepting as I've always wanted to get into it :)

B Sc (Adv)/MBBS. I probably saw some of you during enrolment.

What units are you guys doing for Semester 1? Let's all post up our units so we can watch out for fellow BOSers in lectures/tutorials/pracs/etc.

I'll be doing:
BIOL1903 Human Biology (Adv)
CHEM1903 Chemistry 1A (SSP)
INFO1903 Informatics (Adv)
MATH1901 Differential Calculus (Adv) - I've applied for MATH1906 (SSP)
MATH1902 Linear Algebra (Adv)

First year science units are practically the same across the broad, coz their pretty much a foundation. You get much more electives and choices in 2nd and 3rd year.

Yeah i know. But you can choose if you want to do advanced or normal or SSP (if you make it) etc. So that's what i'm referring to.
