How did everyone's software engineering trials go? If so, how was it done and what was the difficulty like? There's no past papers available for this course.

Not too bad, to be honest... I forgot to put the variable type on the attributes in my class diagram and couldn't remember 3 advantages of using version control (OK I DIDNT REVISE BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE EASY 🤣)

how about you? i think my teacher made it REALLY easy... so not too sure...

well, firstly, our teacher did the major project last term, not this term. so software automation wasn't assessed...
but we did:
DAST and SAST
Version Control
Class Diagrams
Interface Design (i forget the diagram terminology it's the one where you design a screen)
SQL
Python
ethical, social and legal ramifications of a security breach (specifically xss) (this was a bigger mark question)

i can't remember exactly what else...

and:
the SDLC
privacy by design
hashing algorithms
front-end vs back-end
why an experienced dev would choose to use html and css to create a website, while a novice would use a CMS (i remember this q quite clearly lol)
waterfall and WAgile
