Can anyone confirm me please?
No it has to be 1:2 as they asked for a side of the smaller triangle in ratio to the larger triangle therefore they cant be even...but rather the side of the larger triangle is double the smaller triangle.

The pipe costs $2600/km under the water, and $1000/km on land. The line PS is underwater.
When I first looked at it I had to carefully think about underwater and on the shore, the diagram was pretty shit tbh.

Edited. This team-work is quite depressing. My mark is down to 115 now :(
Where did you lose them so far?

Did you put the greater and less than or equal to in the exam or just less than / greater than in that one i posted about?

2 lost in 3b, 2 lost in 4c and 1 in 5b so far. I cannot remember the signs I used in 8a, hopefully the right ones. It is only a 1 mark question though, so hopefully they 'round up'.

Question 4) part (a)

a= 2.3
r= 1.9

When you limiting sum = a/1-r

the answer is

- 4/3.

Also isnt the answer to question 7 a) ii
particle comes to rest at -e ? well thats what i got.

Also, just realized in question 8, it asks for the TIME AAHHRGGHH..
I got the correct answers hours wise.

but i forgot to add the hours to the time 5am. Zomg..

you guys think they will be bitchy and deduct a mark? i guess the hard part was to actually figure out the hours

Latex is not working.
g'(x) = 1/(1+x)
f'(x) = 1 - x + x^2
= x^3/(1+x) + 1/(1+x) - from c.i.
= (x^3 + 1)/(1+x)
>= g'(x) since x^3 + 1 >= 1 for x>=0

This is what I put, not sure if it is sufficient though.
