A few questions to clarify things:

(2) I presume a and b are the limits such that we maximise the value of the integral? And you want us to find such a and b and hence evaluate the integral?

(3) We can assign a Cauchy Principal Value to the integral (Logarithmic Integral btw), so what exactly do you mean by finding an interval in which I lies?

(3) Sketch y=1/ln(x) and observe that it is an injective function in (2,3) so we can construct an upper/lower bound rectangle. I is between the area of them.

(2) a and b are just the points of intersections because if we go beyond it, we get 'negative area'.
