I'm thinking of researching the way historians depicted and viewed Pol Pot, the former Cambodian Communist leader, responsible for the genocide of 1 million Cambodians...

Does this sound ok? I know I haven't got a question yet but I'm not going to bother if it's not going to go anywhere

GRAZI!

i think it was more that 1 million wasnt it? and yeh, that would be a really good idea, like for instance, why isnt as much attention given to this genecide, as was given to the haulocaust? plus, the only reason these jewish lobby groups have so much power is because people feel so much guilt and pity...plus nobody wants to be labelled an anti semite...then why havent there been cambodian lobbys been popping up everywhere? maybe these jewish groups are exploiting the pity given to them? theres so much u can read into this...go with it, it would be a great project

He's just always intrigued me, I don't think I'll ever be able to understand how people can be so ruthless and inhumane. I'm having doubts though because it's not as if he had hords of followers...no one liked him so there isn't really any substantial contraversy....
I could study the argument over whether American involvement in the Indochina conflict was beneficial or detrimental to Cambodia

...but I sorta want to lean away from anything that has America and war correlating together..

do you think you could help me with a question?!

my modern history is a little rusty, i do ancient...ur talking about the indochina conflict that sortof ran parallel to the vietnam war?

i dont know too much about that area sorry...but heres a question...i dont know whether u will like it but :

"why wasnt america's anti communist policies applied to cambodia when Pol Pot came to power?"

pretty much...america claims they went to vietnam to prevent the spread of communism...but they did nothing to stop it spreading to cambodia...with that u can look into america's "selective rightousness" and compare it to today about how america took out saddam because he was a "threat" and they're not taking any action against N korea, who openly admit they have a nuclear arms program

hope that helps :)
