what's the definition of:
capital widening
capital deepening

and i forgot what OECD stands for =\

i got no idea what capital widening and capital deepening are

but the definition of the OECD is the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development

capital widening = increaing capital as the same rate as growth, eg 3% eco growth -> 3% increase in capital to equate the increase in growth
capital deepening = increasing capital faster than the rate of growth, eg more machines per worker

capital widening = equipment per worker increases as the same rate as growth occurs
deepening = equipment per worker rises FASTER than actual growth..

deepening will allow for further growth in the future while widening can only achieve growth at the present rate, which will not increase unless deepening occurs

so u would say china is undergoing capital deepening? - even though the population is most likely to outstrip machinery?
