Can anyone explain this dot point to me?

  1. solve problems and analyse information to calculate the centripetal force acting on a satellite undergoing uniform circular motion about the earth using: F=mv^2 / r

thats centripetal force, ie the force directed towards the centre of the uniform circular motion.
questions regarding this will be when they give you the mass, velocity, force and tell you to work out radius, obviously a little more complicated.

umm....you might know to calculate Fc=FG, where FG=Gm1m2/r2
