UWS introduced the 'Space & Satellite Communication' course, in mid autumn semester during my physics lecture 2007.

Sounds very interesting, my lecturer said if you want to create your own satellite company where you provide pay tv to customers, its a great course. I dont know exactly what job you trying to get, but the course at uws has been introduced this year and it seems very effective and productive.

do you mean course as in degree or course as in subject?

doesn't the above fall under telecomms engineering?

yeah its a whole new course with its own subjects, the course content looks quite difficult. Mechatronics itself isn't the easiest of the engineering courses out there. In terms of getting jobs this will be mainly be with national defense organizations which are very hard to get into. As with all engineering courses if the economic growth of Australia persists you will find a job but not necessarily in the space stream.Employers more look at the subjects you studied rather than just the name of the degree.
