OK so I have a PDF poster that I wish to print. It's A1 in size. Unfortunately I only have access to an A4 printer, so I wish to span the PDF across 8 sheets of A4. I've googled to no avail... can anyone help me out?

I suppose it depends on the printer and the included utlities, but with my canon printers you can assign the page size as A1, set the paper size as A4, and then pick poster printing under page setup when you go to print.
Actually, nevermind. Perhaps Tile Large Pages under the page scaling would work?

It should do it automatically, if I'm thinking right. Provided that you set the Paper size (File > Page Setup) to A4, it should span to print all areas of the document...

Thanks guys, unfortunately those suggestions didn't work (must be a printer driver specific thing). I ended up importing it into photoshop and chopping it up manually.
