Award yourself with {insert something you enjoy doing like a hobby here :)} after you've successfully studied a certain amount of material or a similar scenario.

Yeh it is a distraction when you have groups of friends studing together. One time we did that, and at the end we played the PS2 for about 4 hours straight:p. I think we only studied for about 15 mins.. *sigh*

Try studying in a place where the PS2 or any other distractions are inaccessible, namely a library. ;)
pLuvia, some friends and I went to the state library a couple of times and got some decent study there.

Wow, when you guys say it'd feel like yr7 again, you weren't lyng.

I thought it was only me who felt like it was Yr7 again because I had changed schools.

The biggest transitions in school life are:
year6 -> year 7
followed by year 10-> year 11

well...almost 2 week in now, and its certainly refreshing ^^ surprisingly the workload havent build up all that muhc yet, but guess that'll come later?
