For some reason my computer suddenly refuses to play any music or sound. I've tried playing it through different media programs but I think the main problem is that my computer is not recognising my speakers anymore. What am I suppose to do?

Not recognising your speakers?
Theyre internal I take it?

Nah, they're external (with a little woofer to match). When I go to the control pannel and click on audio devices it says 'No audio device detected'

But the speakers are plugged into your computer via a standard speaker plug. The speakers and computer do not communicate at all.

Go to "Sounds and Audio > Volume"

check the device volume,

the go to "Audio" and make sure
"Sound Playback" has your sound card as the selected option

I have no idea whats wrong :S The volume and audio don't recognise anything so they just won't budge...

It has to detect your soundcard, not your speakers.
