I've noticed I'm quite slow at maths papers/questions. Should I attempt to go faster by rushing algebra?

Is it expected that the speed of writing in a maths exam is the same as what you'd expect in an english exam? Or would you just slow it down to make less errors.

Don't rush so much that you might make mistakes, but enough to finish or almost finish. The best way to speed up is if you see a question your unsure about, just skip it. If you have time, then come back to it.

i've honestly never finished an exam though, as soon as I don't get something and skip it I never get time to look back

i'll try just skipping it without wasting time then
