I don't think it's such a bad idea, although I believe the real possibility is not a speed limiter but a GPS combination which searches for updates on the local limit.

How about those riding side by side in the left and right lane (barely above the speed limit). A right cork in traffic.

and you cant forget when you're behind a slow car, then it gets going faster only when you switch lanes and the car youre now behind starts going slow
I absolutely hate that. It also makes you look like a fool to other drivers behind you
