ok, i have a test on this on monday and i do get most of this stuff except for.. ill give u an example question.. if anyone could like help me, it would be great! my teacher is sick atm so yea..

A plane takes 3 hours to fly from Wellington, NZ to Sydney. If Paula leaves Wellington at 1620, what is the local time when she arrives in Sydney?

What does this have to do with spherical geometry?

Assuming that NZ is two hrs ahead of us...if it takes three hrs to get to sydney it will arrive at at 1720 local time.

Yes. You need a bit of extra information such as time zones or the longitude of both places.

The trip takes 3 hours.
Paula leaves Wellington at 16:20.
Paula arrives in Sydney when it is 19:20 (Wellington time).

If Sydney is 2 hours behind Wellington, then Paula arrives in Sydney at 17:20.

coz it was in the chapter on spherical geometry.. but thanks anyways. hehe the test got changed lol.. its not on monday now :) thanks for the help. i think i get it :)

Waaait, wouldn't you have to work it out by the latitude? I mean its not as though you can get a question that isn't complete.
