Explain the stability of the electron orbits in the Bohr atom using de Broglie’s hypothesis.

this frustrates me. i understand de broglies proposal of wave particle duality for all matter, but i cannot see how it stableises electrons. how does this propsal stop an electron from being attracted to the gravitational mass of the neucleus, the electric charge of the proton, and prevent a deteriorating orbit?

if anybody wanted to know, they dont collapse because they form standing waves, in which the potential and kinetic energy added together remains constant. this drove me insane as i tried to figure it out.

The stabilty can also be explained through the lack of any intrinsic mass of standing waves
