Hey i was wondering how you calculate standard deviation?

i have a casio fx - 82MS!!!!!!

its been so long since i have done it and have forgotten hah

ok umm i use FX 82 TL should be very similar...

make sure u clear all your memory...for me thats done by SHIFT > CLR (near hte ON button) > '3 (all)' > '='

Now put u calc in stat mode...
Just press the mode button, then press "2" for hte SD mode...

Ok now, lets say we have the following data:

10,15,20,25

in ur calculator, just type in "10", and hit the "M+" button
then do this for the rest of the numbers...

ok now just press AC...then to find hte mean and standard deviation:
SHIFT > "2" > "1" (x_bar) which is the mean
SHIFT > "2" > "3" (x_sigma_n-1) which is the standard deviation

ok with negative numbers:

-10, 15, -20, 25

when u press M+ this time for each one, its a good idea to press AC (clear) after u see the n=1,n=2.n=3,n=4

because it can stuff up
