Standard Deviation.. (1 Viewer)

How is this done on a calculator? I had a question in the 2002 paper giving you all these frequencies of what occured but I was not sure how to get SD? Thanks...

do u have a graphics calc??

if u do, u put the scores in the STAT mode and press CALC then FREQ1 and then u get the whole list of things..

If you have a normal calculator (I'm using a CASIO), you need to change your mode to Standard Deviation mode (by pressing you MODE button, then hitting whatever number is associated to SD.

From here you enter the scores one at a time and then press the Memory key (M+). To find the Mean, press SHIFT and 1, followed by the equals (=) sign. To find the standard deviation, press SHIFT and 2, followed by the equals (=) sign.

Note: Only for the CASIO Scientific calculators! (fx-82TL)

just to clarify honky tonk's message - you enter a score, press M+, enter a score, press M+ etc And make you sure you press M+ after the last score

Thanks Nomes! I was eating lunch, so my articulation was at an all-time low. :)
