no its not the uni's fault. The few people I kno that have done the RET/STAT have passed and did well. Its a fucken test. It would be the same if you did a STAT for other uni's. Its not a con, if you didnt think it was worth it, why do it.

If its like an IQ test, then its pretty much common sense. Dont blame th euni for ur stupidity. If u get a shit UAI, who u gonna blame? UAC?

most of the people are not stupid.... so it seems like someone is acting snobish... i can blame the uws, cause it is f*cked their fucked...... i will promise you that people who did shit in it will get a better uai than they expected.. it is contemptment to say that people are supid... is an outrage..

I'm assuming it is out of 100. The mark you received today was your overall mark. The UAC is going to send you separate marks for the essay and multiple choice.

It is stupid to blame to uni for ur poor mark. All they do is set the test. If some people can get high marks, why can't you? It is contemptment to blame the uni. Bad sportsmanship

some people are suited to this type of test. for instance i'm suited to numbers... but calling people stupid.. c'mon its not just cricket.. u are critising people that u did shit and it is not.. this is a post for people such as my self to express there contemptment towards certain things... i blame the uni, for having a fucked up piece of testing to a greater extent level with a hsc.... the test suited be based on subjects not fucking multiple choice questiion like the last one about the family tree... so to the ret test once again fuck you and everyone please place your contemptment towards the Stat/ret5 test... do it for your 119.00 dollars that the uni took and most likely went to casino and put it all on black

i finially got mine today - a day after everyone else in the wordl (so it seems)

i got 84, and i read this thread yesterday so i thort it was a fairly good mark... untill i thought about it... The mark i need to get into the course i want to do is 87.10... therefore my "good" mark of 84 is USELESS!! grr hehe

John Howard wants to increase the amount of international students that go to university, hence lowering the amount of locals that can get in. That is pathetic. Just imagine how difficult it would be for locals to get into university in a decade, let alone in a few years time.

No, i didn't do the stat test ... only cause the course which i did was in the very low 60s, so there was really no point.

I was quite pleased with my STAT result, it is much higher than what I predict my UAI to be and may be a valuable safety net.
People sit the test (created by UAC not UWS - which tests the academic potential of an individual, something hard to define and definitley not fixed and almost impossible to test) they are ranked.
This is a great scheme by UWS and I wish other universities did it, instead of just using it for mature entry. This has improved my perception of UWS and I may end up going there...
All that this test is is an alternate entry into university, if you want to pay your way in - be a full-fee paying student.... (no offence to those students )
