no not in the lecture. it might say in the course outline? i remember reading that (either 1 or all 3, i couldn't understand) were group projects, with 3 people in the group. i read that in the course outline they handed out. i dont know if it had the exact assignment

i havent read the tute h/w so i don't know

but i have a q too. for gnats and wasps - each gnat is worth 1 mark, and each wasp 1/2 a mark. (i am guessing it's 1% and 1/2% respectively for our final grades)

take the gnat for example. if you get 100% = 1 mark
what if you get 50% right - will you get 1/2 a mark (so 1/ 2 a percent in your grades) or nothing?!

yeh that sounds about right

dont worry about the assignments, they are easy, same for gnats and wasps.

A tip for the final exam... just do lots of past papers, the structure and question formats are the same , so if you can do all the past papers then you'll ace the exam.

cool, i like exams like that, like the SC, past papers helped a lot

do they give us copies of past papers?

and so if we don't get 100% in each gnat/wasp, we still get SOMETHING in our final mark. we don't have to get 100% each time? i'm thinking you meant that sounded about right, and not that the 'nothing' part sounded right.

thanks for that for a good cause

Yeh the past papers should be available online to print out.

You dont have to get 100% each time, but getting 100% means you will get max marks for gnats and wasps :)

it depends on your calculator

but find the button which has "" and thr curly x on it. x means standard deviation.

curly x with the line on top means mean
