i think its an assess dotpoint anyway
so the marks will be in whether you
make a judgement instead of
whether you mention every amendment

I concur with serge. You list the proposals (e.g. ceasing the production of haloalkanes by 2000, etc...) and asses or evaluate HOW it allieviates the ozone problem - not a historical examination of these proposals.

Besides, the 87 montreal initiative is the definitive global examination of the ozone problem.

yeh i know..i do evaluate the success of these steps that have been taken to alleviate ozone...i want to have all the steps cos it just seems 'nicer' to assess all the steps that have taken place and not just the main montreal of 87..

i know the majority of it..im just the type of person that wants to know about every nook and cranny [=

I guess it is good to be thorough, especially when teachers find it hard to guess the marking criteria of qs.

Quick Tip: If you DO NOT write your answer with two or three signifigant (no more, no less); you will be marked wrong....(bs eh?)

afta scientist in antartica determined a drop in ozone, it was determined that the cause was CFC's so in an effort to reduce the rate at which ozone depletion occured CFC's were replaced with HFC's which had less of an impact on the ozone due to chlorine not being in the molecule...and the fact that they broken down quickly
