Haha, you obviously haven't heard some of the stories from Mental Health that I have!kimmeh said:I agree. I dont mind hauling money out for stethoscopes/food provided theyre reasonable, i mean, i wouldnt be doing much with an electric cardiology stethoscope. If a dog steps/bites it then $1000 goes down the drain pretty easily. I guess its okay for doctors/med students to get them because i highly doubt that their patients would do the same as a vets
Highly jealous of the people who won those... i was just sitting there, watching the freebies flow. Then again, i already have one, but haven't used it properly yet (in the sense that it hasn't been required in the course and the only heart i've listened to is mine - still cool though). I'm guessing that i'll definitely need it in 3rd year and later, but there will probably be opportunities before then.velox said:my sister won a stethoscope at amsa, but the raffle was run by curries so i think it was rigged

biting isnt my complete worry.. projectile faecal matter is...hipsta_jess said:Haha, you obviously haven't heard some of the stories from Mental Health that I have!
What did you win?Lexicographer said:I won a prize for having the best sinous rythm. Hooray for me, and my perfectly functional heart!
Sigh. There was no prize.ishq said:What did you win?
It took a cardiology professor to tell you that?bearpooh said:Of course it is not really the stethescope that matters.
(Any Littman or Tycos/Harvey is ok)
As a professor of cardiology once told me,
"It is the bit between the ear pieces that matters".
Obsessing about stethescopes is very much a first clinical year syndrome.
You will grow out of it eventually.
most hospitals use a $12 type..bearpooh said:Of course it is not really the stethescope that matters.

Bearpooh, unlike other users who hate you I haven't bothered reading your posts, analysing your comments, scouring your history. I don't care. Nothing you say here has any merit, medical parents or no.bearpooh said:In which case, you are forever condemned to be inferior.
