Hey people,

Can anyone out there who studied "A Streetcar Named Desire" explain this quote to me:
"Sometimes - there's God- so quickly!"

I have spent the entire year with no idea what she means. It's not really crucial to my HSC, more just mild curiosity.

My teacher explained it by saying that Blanche is saying Mitch saved her, because the line before he says they both need somebody, and they could be together, so Blanche is saying that God has provided them with each other, and shes accepting his offer of being together by saying it was like he was sent from god.

Also because Blanch complains about the life God gave her, the hand that was dealt, possibly because she feels forgotten by God (reference to why she is always looking at the stars) .xx.
